Katsushika Hokusai (1760 ? 1849) and Utakawa Hiroshige (1797-1858) were two of the last great artists of the Japanese Ukiyo-e tradition of the Edo period. Their woodblock prints, including Hokusai's world famous image of the wave, influenced a whole generation of modern painters because of the uniqueness of perspective and form. The walls of Monet?s house at Giverny were covered in prints by Hokusai, Hiroshige and other Japanese artists. Tushita is a German based company operating under fair trade partnership standards.
